Level hundred students of the Atebubu College of Education in the Bono East Region are compulsorily being asked to bring plastic chairs to school when reporting for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.

       Teacher training college in the Atebubu Amantin Municipality in the Bono East Region that was founded in October 1965, which is the only college of education in the eastern corridor of the then Brong Ahafo Region.  The college has a population of about 1745 Students and 108 staff members with Doctor Samuel Addae Boateng who is their  prisincipal.                        The school has core values of pursuing relentless academic excellence, embracing diversity and inclusion, believing in hard work, integrity and honesty and to exist as an institution primarily because of students.   A group calling themselves the Concerned National Service Personnel has called all National Service Personnel to go on strike on Monday, 30th May, as well as hit the street of Cape Coast with a peaceful demonstration. This action has to do with the delay in payment of their allowances as they are being owed two months of unpaid allowances. The official letter that was released to all media houses and user-agencies reads: Upon the many attempts to draw the attention of the National Service Scheme to our plight but yet to no avail, the organisers of the Concerned National Service Personnel write to you to vacate your post and redraw from every work you are rendering under the directive of the National Service Scheme at your user-agency effective Monday, 30th May 2022. Members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) have called off their strike.

    The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has called off its strike on Thursday, 12 May, 2022. Members of CLOGSAG began an indefinite strike on Thursday, April 21 over the nonpayment of their neutrality allowance. Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, Dr. Isaac Bampo-Addo,said it was noted that, payment of the Neutrality Allowance they demanded had not been effected as agreed in spite of official reminders and follow ups to the Ministry of Finance. According to him, “The National Executive Council of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has decided to call off the nationwide strike by its members. “The rationale to step down the industrial action was based on the fact that demand for the Ministry of Finance to direct the Controller and Accountant General to effect payment of the agreed allowance has been met. By this decision, the strike has been called off. All CLOGSAG members should report back to work
