    The Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) has also served notice of its intention to embark on industrial action on Tuesday, July 19, to demand a 20 percent Cost of Living Allowance.   The union said this has become necessary due to the worsening economic conditions in the country.   It said the decision to strike was taken at an emergency meeting on July 8.     The police has arrested two young men with a ‘fresh’ male human head on Monday. The two, suspected to be ritual murderers, were arrested at Kasoa in the Ga South Municipality.   They were arrested after their vehicle had a crash and were sent to the Weija District Command. A police source told the Ghana News Agency that one of the suspects was a Taxi Driver.   The source said the suspects were three, however, one fled as soon as the police opened the vehicle and saw the human head.   It said the suspects were being interrogated by the police.   The source said they had denied knowledge of the origin of the head, which had blood oozing from it. It said the head had been deposited at the morgue

Adwen in the Upper East are searching for an assailant who attacked a Police Officer at Zebilla on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. According to a statement released by the Upper East Regional Command and signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) David Fianko-Okyere, “The officer was attacked near the Zebilla Senior High School where the assailant inflicted machete wounds on the head and other parts of the body and also made away with an AK47 assault rifle.” http://manascogh.blogspot.com   The officer was taken to the Zebilla District Hospital and later transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital where he is responding to treatment. Police have therefore assured the public that they will arrest the perpetrator, retrieve the stolen weapon and bring him to face justice.

  Residents of Ampabame No-1 in the Ashanti Region cannot use a new 32-seater toilet facility because a river deity has demanded 5 human beings to be sacrificed before it can be commissioned.   A priestess serving the Tano gods, guardians of the Bomofia stream, close to the facility told Nhyira FM that the gods are angry with residents’ constant dumping of waste in the stream.   She also said the gods are unhappy with the siting of a septic tank for the facility.   The Ampabame community self help toilet project was started in 2005 in the Atwima Kwanwoma district of Ashanti. It was completed 15-years later due to financial constraints.         The unfortunate is said to have occurred Wednesday, July 5.   The fire destroyed office spaces and other parts of the facility.   Although it is unclear what caused the fire, some residents and eyewitness says it started from their transmission room and extended to other parts of the facility, adding that, foot marks are on the building indicating a deliberate and planned by some individuals.   Investigation in the cause of the fire has begun.   Photos emerging on Otixpres.com show that equipment in the studio have all been lost to the fire.   Last week, Mr Asase, the CEO of the station motorbike was stolen in his resident by some unknown persons as his Radio station was set by fire addi to his misfortunes.
